Mark Beuving is the Lead Pastor at Creekside Church in Rocklin, CA. Prior to going back into pastoral ministry, Mark spent ten years on staff at Eternity Bible College as a Campus Pastor, Dean of Students, and then Associate Professor. He is passionate about building up the body of Christ, training future leaders for the Church, and writing. He is the author of Resonate: Enjoying God’s Gift of Music and the co-author with Francis Chan of Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples. Mark lives in Rocklin with his wife and two daughters.

Matt is lead pastor of Emmaus Church on the westside of Portland, Oregon. He and his wife Lauren have been married 16 years and have three kids, ranging from high school to elementary. He was previously on staff at a church for 15 years in several roles before planting Emmaus. They planted in 2018 and later adopted a sister congregation in 2021. His role involves teaching, shepherding and overall vision. Matt is a Bible nerd with interests in biblical theology and Trinitarian theology. Matt enjoys investing in emerging leaders and their formation.

Nate was born into a missionary family serving Spanish and Mixtec-speaking immigrant communities from Central and South America. A native of Southern California, Nate continues to care deeply for the Latino church, while also being passionate about connecting students from all over the globe as they study the Word together.
Nate is privileged to teach Old Testament courses at Eternity, and he loves connecting the ancient context to modern applications. He is passionate about comparative studies (ex: ancient Near Eastern backgrounds), literary analysis, and the more neglected books/passages of the Old Testament. Nate’s research interests include the concept of fear in Scripture, composite/chaos creatures (i.e. monsters in the ancient world), cherem warfare/divine violence, as well as the legal, ritual, and wisdom literature.
Nate is married to Dani (they finally tied the knot summer 2022 after eight years of dating), who works as a speech and language pathologist and is Nate’s foremost hero. Nate and Dani currently live in Ventura County, California, where they enjoy hiking, board games with friends, reading with a good cup of coffee/tea, and watching movies (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.) and shows (Great British Bake Off, Survivor, etc.) with family and dalmatians.

Brian Colmery lives in West Los Angeles with his wife Chrissie and their five kids. He met Scott Mehl (also an Eternity professor) in seminary and together they planted Shoreline Church in 2005. In 2011, Shoreline merged with another local church to become Cornerstone West LA. Brian serves as an elder and oversees corporate worship and preaching. His outside interests include foster care, music, and freshly roasted, properly brewed coffee.

Amber received her Ph.D. in New Testament and focused on the intersection of John the Baptist and intertextuality in the Fourth Gospel. She is passionate about demonstrating the deep connections between the Old Testament and the New, and she desires to see a more robust biblical theology within the church that addresses real-world conversations and needs. Her research interests include Johannine Literature, OT Prophetic LIterature, the NT use of the Old, memory and orality in the ancient world, and Koine Greek.
Amber lives in Denver, CO, with her husband, Ryan, and their two dogs, Lewis and Cece.

Ryan Dillon is working on his Ph.D in Systematic Theology at Ridley College (Melbourne) writing on Traumatic Memory, Identity, and the Liturgy. He is passionate about bridging the gap between academics and discipleship in the Church and loves serving in the liturgy at his local Anglican church. He is the author of Sacramental Identity: Finding Who We Are through Participation in God’s Story. His research interests include Theological Anthropology, Sacramental and Liturgical Theology, and Patristic Biblical interpretation and theology.
He lives in Denver, CO with his wife Amber and his two dogs Lewis and Cece.

Ernesto is passionate about intersecting culture and the “multi” Church. Ernesto serves at Iglesia Piedras Vivas / Living Stones Church (LSPV) in Los Angeles, CA. He and his wife, Renae also were part of the group that helped plant LSPV in 2011. Before Piedras Vivas in 2011, Ernesto lived as a missionary at Door of Faith Orphanage in La Misión, BC, MX.
Ernesto hopes to one day make the rich education from Eternity Bible College available to the Latino Church, both foreign and domestic. To this end Ernesto also serves as an adjunct teaching faculty at Seminary Del Oeste. Ernesto has been married to Renae since March, 2011. They have 2 sons, Finehas James and Amos León.

Sarah’s interests cover the full spectrum of human nature, from individual behavior to sociocultural patterns through history. She has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, taught in the Anthropology department of CSU Sacramento, and served as a missionary in Mexico and India. In her work at EBC, as well as all aspects of her life, she feels called to train up believers to navigate the cultural complexities of our moment in history with compassion, discernment, and hope.
Sarah and her husband, Nathan, live in Roseville, CA. They serve weekly at Creekside Church, as well as in local and international ministries that focus on material and educational support of marginalized groups. Sarah enjoys painting, walking in the woods with her husband, and singing loudly in the car.

Josh has been serving as a pastor since 2003 and teaching at Eternity Bible College since 2005. Josh and his wife Melody have two beautiful daughters, three adopted sons and love caring for people in the neighborhood, especially under resourced children, including taking in foster children. Josh was involved in church planting in South LA for seven years, but is now serving as a lead pastor at Redeemer Bible Church in South Sacramento where he is involved in training up leaders. Josh also loves robotics, programming (Bible software), languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Spanish), and studying and teaching through as many books of the Bible as he is able.

An ordained minister, Matthew’s calling is to equip Christians with the tools they need to be gracious, well-reasoned, and convincing witnesses for Christ. He has a passion for teaching students how to read the Bible faithfully and with careful reflection. His research interests include philosophical hermeneutics, Paul’s writings, and apocalyptic literature. He is the author of The End of the World as You Know It: What the Bible Really Says about the End Times (And Why It’s Good News). When he is not reading obscure German philosophers or the Greek/Hebrew Bible, he can usually be found playing in the yard with his kids or being elated with the joy that comes with being married to the best wife in the world.

I’ve been married for over twenty years and proud dad of three teen daughters. I was born and raised in the PNW, now living in Boise, ID. I have a passion for biblical theology and studying the Bible as literature, as well as comparative study with other religious and classic literature. My family and I enjoy traveling, outdoor recreation, movie nights and hospitality. I enjoy fitness, skateboarding and reading. Also, ironic subtle satire humor. Dr. Rev. Matthew Jones is the lead pastor of Del Rey Church in the city of Los Angeles, where he has worked in pastoral ministry for over 20 years. He resides in Inglewood with his wife and seven children. Along with his familial life and pastoral ministry, Dr. Jones writes annually for the Urban Ministry Biblical Commentary and has published in Themelios Journal, Evangelical Quarterly, and Oxford University Press’ Sociology of Religion Journal. He is currently working on a major research project capturing oral church histories from Postwar Los Angeles, engaging the theological presuppositions of racialized ecclesial migration patterns in ethnically diversifying urban centers. Further from home, Dr. Jones has served, lectured and/or preached overseas in Germany, Dubai, Israel, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Africa.

Chris serves as the Dean of Students and an Associate Professor at Eternity. Prior to that he was an Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church of Moorpark from 2004-2016, where he oversaw community groups, adult education and student ministries. He interned at Cornerstone Simi from 2000 – 2004, before moving on to help plant Cornerstone Moorpark in 2004.

Geoff Leatherman currently works at Emmaus Church in Portland, OR as the Executive Pastor. Prior to moving up to Portland, Geoff worked at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, CA as an Associate Pastor. He has been teaching or involved with Eternity for over 18 years. He is the father of two children and has been married for over 22 years.

Father Kyle Logan is the church planter of Resurrection Anglican, a new church in Bend, Oregon. He’s passionate about finding the places where faith and doubt intersect, sacramental and liturgical theology, and the Church. Most of his days are spent with his wife chasing their two-year-old son, obsessing over food and drink, or enjoying God’s good creation.

Doug Main is the co-founder and executive director of The Jesus Cohort, a nonprofit that seeks to help people find restorative care and spiritual formation in the ways of Jesus — for the future of the Church. After pastoring for 25 years, predominantly in the Los Angeles area, Doug and his family moved back to his home state of Missouri to start this new community. Doug has been with Eternity from the beginning, and has served in various roles with the school over the years. His particular focus is on Bible Study Methods, Matthew and Mark, and the Prison Epistles. He is a lifelong fan of the Missouri sports teams, particularly the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Mizzou Tigers (where he graduated from with a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance in 1995). He has earned two theological degrees: An M. Div. (1999) and Th.M. (2005).

Ian is a Southern Californian who has spent a number of years in education and vocational ministry. Formerly a high school and young adult pastor, Ian transitioned into online education where he teaches philosophy at a number of different online universities. He has been married for 15 years and has two children. Ian is an avid softball player and enjoys good cigars. People rarely suspect he teaches philosophy.

Scott pastors Cornerstone Church of West LA, a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-generational church where he was first a church-planter (2005) and then a church-merger (2011). His ministry focuses include preaching, teaching, counseling, and overall church vision. Scott’s wife (Lara) and their four kids find it a joy to call West LA their earthly home, and have a deep love for the diverse people of the city.
Scott is the Chair of the Biblical Counseling department at Eternity Bible College, a fellow with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), and serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD). Scott speaks and writes regularly on topics related to biblical counseling and discipleship and is the author of Loving Messy People: The Messy Art of Helping One Another Become More Like Jesus.

Matt has been teaching at Eternity Bible College for over 15 years and in pastoral ministry for nearly 25 years in a variety of capacities. He has a passion for many facets of pastoral ministry including discipleship, preaching, teaching, and leadership development. For the last 10 years, he has been serving in ethnically and economically diverse urban areas both in South Los Angeles and in Sacramento. He currently pastors at One Church in Sacramento (www.onechurchsacramento.com). Matt has been married for 19 years and has three children Seth, Silas and Blythe.

Brittany is a Los Angeles native and has lived in Southern California most of her life. In 2012 she helped plant Remembrance Community Church where she serves as the Associate Pastor. In the past two decades she has served in ministry, Brittany has taught the Bible in a variety of contexts including as a missionary in South Africa, at numerous events and retreats, and regularly on the teaching team at her church. She is passionate about helping people discover the goodness of God in unexpected places. Brittany is married to her dream guy (and polar opposite) Ben, and they welcomed their beautiful (and wild) daughter Naia in 2023.

Steven is married to his wife Megan, and they are both from and live in Dallas, TX. He serves as a Chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Field Staff with Athletes in Action (CRU), a public-school teacher in inner-city Dallas, and a biblical counselor in various ministries. He is a Level 2 Certified Biblical Counselor with ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) and holds multiple health and fitness certifications. He seeks to equip the saints for ministry work and restore biblical counseling to the local church. He serves and is a member of Eastside Community Church in Dallas, TX.

Rebecca taught History and English in a Classical School before moving to California. She took a break from the Education scene to work in coffee shops and restaurants before being hired by Eternity to teach the Writing workshop course and serve simultaneously as the Librarian.

Brigg was born in Waxahachie, Texas and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Brigg enjoys being the husband of Endyia Kinney-Sterns, and the father of Judah and Cairo Sterns. They currently live in Northridge, CA. He works at Wellness Counseling for Life providing Christian counseling for individuals, married couples and families. Brigg also serves as the lead teaching pastor at Vineland Ministries, a discipleship group in Northridge, CA, which is devoted to discipling Christian leaders. Brigg enjoys composing music, and has composed for film and television for networks such as Showtime, NBC, ABC, MTV, OWN, Oxygen, BET and TV One.

Matt is married to Laurel and has three children (Isaac, Liv, and Duren). He served as a college pastor at Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley (’08-’09) and Bethany Church in Long Beach (’03-’08). Matt moved to Long Beach, California where he serves at Common Church which he founded in 2009. Matt has a passion for teaching and living out God’s Word and bringing others along with him—learning to be the church as a family. Matt usually has multiple house-guests and enjoys coaching his son’s soccer and baseball teams.

Joshua Walker was a part of the founding team of Eternity Bible College. He has served the school in various leadership capacities as it has grown. He led the accreditation process which resulted in initial accreditation in 2016 and a 10 year renewal in 2021. He has been married since 1992 and has two adult children. He has a passion for people to understand the full narrative of scripture and how that gives meaning and shape to their lives. In particular, he enjoys helping people think better about calling / vocation / work. In his “free” time he likes to read, watch movies, play games, hike, listen to podcasts, spend time with his family, travel, eat good food, and laugh.
