ADMISSIONS POLICIES

First Time Students

First-time students are those students who are attending a college or university for the first time.  First-time students are responsible to fill out our normal application.

Home-Schooled Students

Home-schooled students are encouraged to apply at Eternity. Due to broad range of home-schooling techniques, however, we also require a few additional procedures in addition to our normal application:

  1. The Admissions Office may interview the applicant’s parent(s) regarding schooling, curriculum and procedures.
  2. Any student may be placed on academic probation for the first semester at the discretion of the Admissions Office.  Any student with a GPA of less than 1.3 at the end of the first semester will be dismissed from the college program.  After one year, the student may apply for re-admission.
  3. A GED or California High School Proficiency Exam is highly recommended and in some instances may be required at the request of the Admissions Office.
  4. Since some home-schooled students graduate from high school at an earlier age than their non-home-schooled counterparts, Eternity retains the right to defer an applicant until such time it deems appropriate.

High School Seniors

High school students may take Eternity classes during their senior year provided that they have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. All students registered under this provision will be placed on academic probation for their first semester. Ineligible students are encouraged to audit Eternity classes. This will give them a decisive educational advantage upon entering college.

Transfer Students

Eternity Bible College requires all transfer students to submit our normal application.  Students who have attained a Bachelor degree from an accredited institution only need to submit official college transcripts showing their Bachelor degree, and not their official high school transcripts.  Transfer students who have attained an Associate degree from an accredited community college must submit their official high school transcripts as well as their official college transcripts.

If a transfer student has not completed a degree at an accredited institution but has completed some units at an accredited community college or four year university, they are required to submit their official high school transcripts, as well as official transcripts from the community college or university that they attended.

Transferring Bible Credits

Eternity allows students to transfer up to 32 credits of theological education from other colleges and universities on the following basis:

  1. The course being transferred has an EBC equivalent and was completed with a minimum grade of C.
  2. The college from which the transfer comes is theologically compatible with EBC.

Determination of equivalency and theological compatibility will be made by the Office of the Registrar on a case by case basis.  Final authority for the acceptance or rejection of transfer credits rests with the Office of the Registrar.  Official transcripts must be received in order to evaluate the credits.

Transferring General Education Credits

The Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree requires a student to attain 18 units of specific general education classes.  The Registrar will evaluate classes taken previously or during a student’s time at Eternity Bible College when their official transcripts are received. The units must match Eternity’s requirement and the class must be completed with a C or higher. The units must be completed at an accredited community college or university. The requirements are as follows: 3 Units English Composition, 3 units Psychology or Sociology, 3 units Physical or Biological Science, 3 units Philosophy (not logic), 3 units Political Science, Economics, Government or Cultural Anthropology and 3 units Logic, English Literature, US History or Language.  Contact the Registrar to ask specific questions about transferring.

Readmission Students

Former Eternity Bible College students who have been away from Eternity Bible College for more than one semester need to apply to Eternity Bible College for readmittance.  If you left Eternity Bible College with a grade point average of at least a 2.0 or higher, you need to fill out the basic readmittance application.

If you were academically dismissed from Eternity Bible College, or left Eternity Bible College on Academic Probation, you need to fill out the Academic Dismissal Readmittance Application.

All application deadlines and requirements must be met in order to be considered for readmission.

Audit/Non-Credit Students

Students who desire to audit classes can do so by filling out the appropriate registration form here.  Auditors do not receive college credit for their classes, but they can attend class for personal growth and enrichment.  Audit students do not have to fill out the application for admission, they only need to submit the audit/non-credit registration form.

Nondiscrimination Policy:

Our specific mission as a school causes us to restrict admission to Christians. However, since we believe that God is calling out a people for His name from every tribe, tongue, and nation, EBC admits students of any race, age, sex, nationality or ethnic origin to all the programs and activities of this institution. EBC does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, age, sex, nationality, ethnic origin, color, handicap, or prior military service in the administration of its programs, policies, or activities.

I’m learning to love people better, not only through the things I’m learning in my classes, but through the amazing community of students and teachers who model it for me.
