A Jesus Church College

A New Partnership in Portland, Oregon

In-depth Bible Education Meets Hands-on Ministry Training

We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with A Jesus Church College in Portland, Oregon! Earn your Bachelor’s Degree while receiving hands-on ministry training and discipleship in an amazing church community.

Step into Kingdom Leadership

The Kingdom needs people who know the Bible, but knowledge alone is not enough to be a Kingdom leader. It takes skills, character, and insight that only come through experience.

This full-time program combines online and classroom learning with apprenticeship from mentors who will guide and support students. All this happens in a transformative community where you can explore life with Jesus alongside others who are pursuing God’s call.

About the Program

The Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies with an Emphasis in Leadership and Formation.

This program is a combination of an online learning cohort, regular classroom teaching, intensive classes, international trips, retreats, mentoring, ministry apprenticeships, and projects.

In addition to completing classroom training in leadership and formation, each student will specialize in an area of apprenticeship and elective study by pursuing one of three “streams” — Mission, Theology, and Worship. The streams represent different areas of focus, but also different types of people with a certain wiring, gifting or calling.

Are there scholarships available? And do you offer financial aid or student loans?2019-06-11T22:02:02-07:00

While we currently do not offer financial aid packages or student loans, we sometimes (through the generosity of donors) have a limited amount of scholarships available. We use these to enable people who would otherwise be unable to pursue the program to do so. Please email us if you would like more information about scholarships.

Can I attend part-time?2019-06-11T22:03:04-07:00

We are happy to explore the possibility of completing the program part-time. This could suit students who cannot spare the time to attend with a full-time load for any reason, or would be unable to afford full-time tuition.

I’ve previously studied at another college, can I waive certain classes?2019-06-11T22:03:51-07:00

It can be possible to apply credits earned elsewhere to the completion of this program. Our concern is to protect the developmental pathways in the program to make sure that students journey through the time, content, relationships and experiences that will help them develop to meet the goals of the program. If you think that your previous education overlaps with elements of our program, talk to us so we can explore the possibilities with you.

I’m an international student, can I still apply?2019-06-11T22:05:56-07:00

Unfortunately, there are current complications that prevent us from accepting international students to this  specific program. We are exploring ways to overcome these complications, and this may become an option in the future.  International students can apply to take classes online through Eternity Bible College, click here to learn more.

Is there an age limit?2019-06-11T22:06:46-07:00

The program is designed for adult, higher education, learning and development. While there are some people who are ready to take college level classes before they are 18, many of the leadership and formation aspects of the program require students to have reached a certain stage of life and experience. We do not have an upper age limit, but the program is designed for people in some of the formative stages of their story – which could be a change in the direction of their life as they get ready for a new chapter. So if you think you may have passed your formative stages, feel free to talk to us before you apply.

Can current Eternity students transfer into this program?2019-06-25T22:02:13-07:00
The short answer, is yes. That said, apprenticeship and hands-on ministry experience are vital aspects of this program, so we will have to work out a plan for transfer students on an individual basis. If you’re interested, contact your academic advisor and they’ll point you in the right direction.
